Leading the way for the 2019-20 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey checklist, the 100-card base set is joined by SP subsets for Stars (#/699), Legends (#/599) and Rookies (#/999). Rookie holdovers include Cale Makar, Filip Zadina, Quinn Hughes and Ryan Poehling.
In addition, standard parallels consist of Copper, which is capped at 299 for the regular cards and 399 for the SPs, along with Emerald (#/99), Aqua (#/45), Purple (#/20), and Black (#/5) versions.
UD also goes a step further with a variety of premium autographs, relics and auto relics for most of the card groupings in the main set.

Another common sight in 2019-20 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey is the large selection of RC redemptions. These Rookie Redemption cards are essentially IOUs for to-be-announced players debuting during the 2019-2020 season. Naturally, the lineup stretches to autograph, relic and autographed relic versions, as well. While the cards are initially a mystery when pulled, the final checklist is revealed later in the NHL season.
Back again this year is the accompanying UD Bounty promotion for 2019-20 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey. Falling 1:20 packs, the Aurum Bounty cards also count as a box hit. Although eight were expected per case in '18-19, collectors can find at least four of the Gold Light FX cards per case this time around.
Tougher options include Aurum Holdover Rookies SP (1:320), Aurum Veteran All-Stars SP (1:640) and Aurum Legends SP (1:640).
The goal here is to be one of the first 25 collectors to complete the entire 48-card set. Doing so earns the final two cards in the set (#49 and #50), the full Aurum 2005-06 Retro set (9 cards) and the Aurum 2005-06 Retro Auston Matthews Autograph. Those who finish outside the top 25 still get the #49 and #50 card.
Make no mistake, though, it's not just gold inserts in the 2019-20 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey checklist. The set is loaded with autographs. Autofacts cards are again the most common at 1:48 packs. Other choices include Lord Stanley’s Legacy Signatures (1:288) and parallel (#/10), plus new Top 12 Rookie Signatures (1:1,000) for '19-20 and the 2018-19 Top 12 Update (1:1,000).
Low-numbered choices include 15th Anniversary Rookie Tribute Autos (#/15), Admirable Impressions Signatures (#/24), and Esteemed Endorsements (#/28), plus hard-signed Honored Hopefuls Signatures (#/27) and Honored Members Signatures (#/27).
There are also Aurum Signatures cards (#/13) and very rare Duals (#/3).
Still not done, memorabilia fans can check out several insert lines in 2019-20 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey. This includes Lord Stanley’s Legacy Relics (1:160), NHL Remnants (1:24), Tundra Teammates Duos (#/199), Tundra Teammates Quad (#/99), and Year One Rookies Sweaters (1:48).
Offering a career retrospective, of sorts, the Threads of Time (1:300) cards are back. So, too, are the Arena Artifacts (#/29) cards, this time featuring items from the Blackhawks' legendary Chicago Stadium.
Most relics add a low-numbered Premium parallel, as well.
Finally, that leaves us with the 15th Anniversary Rookie Tribute cards that are numbered to just 15 copies.
